MEP Material Supply in Jeddah
Red Sea port city and the Kingdom's western commercial centre. We quote and supply material packages for Jeddah projects.
Working in Jeddah
Jeddah is the Kingdom's principal Red Sea port and its western commercial centre, and the gateway for Hajj and Umrah traffic. The construction that follows from that is commercial and hospitality-heavy, with a large residential base, port and logistics facilities, and healthcare and education development alongside.
The coastal specification
Jeddah is the clearest example in the Kingdom of why location changes a material list.
Chlorides. Coastal humidity carries salt, and salt attacks stainless steel that has no molybdenum in it. 316 stainless resists chloride pitting and crevice corrosion in a way that 304 does not, and a 304 specification written for an inland project will pit in a Jeddah plant room. If your specification says "stainless" without a grade, settle it before ordering.
Condensation. High ambient humidity means chilled water pipe and supply ductwork need insulation thick enough to hold the outer surface above dew point. Thickness that works in Riyadh may not work here, and the failure mode is water dripping into a ceiling rather than a modest efficiency loss. See HVAC insulation.
Outdoor equipment. Condensing units, external enclosures and roof plant all see a more aggressive environment than inland. Coated coils and higher-rated enclosures earn their cost here.
Categories we are asked for most in Jeddah
HVAC — cooling-only equipment is more often appropriate here than inland, since winter heating demand is limited; plumbing and water treatment, where feed water quality decides the specification; stainless steel in 316 for coastal service; and fire fighting.
Getting a quotation
Send the take-off with the delivery location. Tell us the plant is coastal so we quote materials that will survive there, rather than the cheapest item that meets the nominal specification.

Frequently asked questions
We are buying a cooling tower and condenser water package for a roof near the sea. What should we settle first?
What should we watch when buying air-side equipment and ductwork accessories for a building in this humidity?
Our hospitality project runs near capacity in the Umrah and Hajj seasons and well below it the rest of the year. What should that change in what we buy?
We need a treatment plant priced. What decides its size and specification here?
Our site is close to the port. Does that make imported items quicker or cheaper for us to buy?
Send the specification, the quantities and the delivery location. We come back with pricing, availability and lead time for that market — not a generic price list.
